Q: How many schools or Buddhist Sects are there?

A: Tien Tai of China in 555 c.e. outlined them as 8 schools and 5 periods, harmonizing the two forms of the Buddha Dharma,  Therevada or Mahayana.  Some of the sects within these two forms include, Pure Land, Zen, Nichiren and Tibetan.  There are some 850 million Buddhists worldwide.  It is the religion of freedom and responsibility.

Q: How many Sutras or wisdom teachings are there?

A: Too numerous to count, a few include: Lotus Sutra, Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, Infinite Life Sutra

Q: How many kinds or schools of Meditation are there?

A: There are seven main schools, Breath [yogic], visualization [concentration], mantra [sound], point [chakra ], movement [walking, exercise ], devotional and direct essence contemplation [beyond thought and mind ]Q:How does “Meditation Mentoring Work ?

A: Personal discussion about how the mind works in meditation, how the energy flows. A place, a method, a practice? Techniques, diet, purpose, all shared confidentially building personal courage and strength. Virtual meditation mentoring is done via e-Mail, Skype, your favourite a Confidential Chat Room.Q: How do I know what is right for me ? 

A: Your physical well being should be balanced and in vibrate health. Your mental well being should be clear, without doubt and welcome all life’s challenges. Your spiritual well being should be one of freedom, wisdom and enlightenment.
